United we pig out: EMU, Roundtree host free pregame community pig roast Oct. 30 at Rynearson Stadium

Ypsilanti - Calling all pig roast lovers.

Eastern Michigan University and Roundtree Bar and Restaurant are teaming to host a Free Community Pig Roast before this Saturday's (Oct. 30) home football game featuring EMU vs. Toledo at Rynearson Stadium. The public is invited to attend the free pig roast, which will be located outside Gate 1 near Hewitt Road from 2-4 p.m. The game starts at 4 p.m. 

Other local event sponsors include Angel Food Catering, Biggie's Fine Foods and We Cater To U.

Not interested in free pig? How about free bull?

Located across Hewitt Road inside the Peninsular Place Tailgate before the game will be a free mechanical bull. Winners of the best dressed costume contest will win an iPad or flat-screen TV during the tailgate. Also before the game fans can take advantage of many freebie opportunities, such as inflatables in the Eagles Landing fan zone, photo booth, face painting, tattoos, T-shirts and one of-a-kind cartoon collector's stadium cups.

During the game, fans will be eligible for another best dressed costume contest to win a widescreen 2GB MacBook. Fans will also be introduced to another contest. EMU and Cueter Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealership will give away a three-year lease of a new green Jeep Wrangler during EMU's home football game vs. Northern Illinois University at Rynearson Stadium at noon Nov. 26. The value of the lease is $13,500. Must be present to win.

The Wrangler will be available for viewing during Saturday's game.
