YPSILANTI - The Eastern Michigan University Board of Regents selected Roy Wilbanks and Fran Parker to continue their roles as chair and vice chair, respectively, at its regular meeting Dec. 16.

The regents also selected John Lumm, chief financial officer for EMU, as the treasurer to the Board. The board also selected Vicki Reaume, formerly executive director of alumni relations at Eastern, as secretary to the board.

All four selections were uncontested and unanimous. The chair and the vice chair will serve two-year terms.

Wilbanks, of Ypsilanti, was appointed to the Board of Regents by Governor Jennifer Granholm in December 2004 to fill the seat vacated by Dr. Rosalind E. Griffin for a term ending in December 2012.

Wilbanks was employed by Eastern Michigan University in various roles such as: assistant to the president for government and community relations, vice president for University relations and secretary to the Board of Regents, executive vice president, interim chief executive officer and president and chief executive officer of the Eastern Michigan Foundation.

Parker, of St. Clair Shores, was appointed by Governor Granholm in January 2007 to replace Joseph Antonini, whose term expired in December 2006. In 2008, Parker retired as president and CEO of Health Alliance Plan. She is appointed for a term expiring Dec. 2014.
