César Chávez Celebration March 31

"Sí, se puede." (Yes, it can be done.)

César Chávez Day, commemorating the life and legacy of American civil rights worker and labor advocate César Chávez, is March 31. Activities begin at 9 a.m. and end with the Mariachi Procession at 11:10.

Student Center, Room 300

9:00 a.m. - Breakfast
9:30 a.m. - President Susan Martin's welcome
9:40 a.m. - Poetry reading
9:45 a.m. - Keynote speaker, Luis Rodriguez
10:45 a.m. - Silent auction bidding
11:00 a.m. - Announce silent auction winners
11:10 a.m. - Mariachi procession to César Chávez Memorial Fountain near Welch Hall

Proceeds from the silent auction will go toward student events and activities.
