YPSILANTI: The Experimental Art Theater of Zhejiang University of Media and Communications will perform Chinese Rhyme of Passion, a concert, at Eastern Michigan University's Student Center at 7 p.m. on Oct. 17.
The concert introduces Chinese traditional music, songs and folk dance in a professional artistic performance. The artists will help teach their audience more about Chinese culture through vivid imagery.
Eastern will be the last stop of the artists' four-campus tour before they return to China. Performances will include "Kun Yun," "Spring of the Xianjiang River," and "Impression of West Lake."
The concert is part of a new partnership with ZUMC that will allow for exchange opportunities for students and faculty between the two institutions.
Tickets are $10 for students and $15 for the general public and can be purchased at the EMU Box Office or online at http://www.emutix.com. For more information, please contact the EMU Ticket Office at 734.487.2282.
