YPSILANTI - The Eleanor Wright Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America at Eastern Michigan University will be hosting the 14th Annual Student Development Conference. The conference will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 2 at Eastern's Student Center.
The conference, "Inspire your Passion," will feature professional development workshops, an interviewing seminar, a luncheon, resume critique, internship fair and a keynote address by Walter Kraft, Eastern's vice president of communications.
All Eastern students are invited to attend the event. Those with interest in public relations, marketing, journalism, communications and other related fields will find the event especially useful. There is no charge for registration, however late registration the day of the event will cost $10.
"The Student Development Conference is a great way for students to network with professionals in the field and gain valuable professional development experience," said Cherese Colston, president of EMU's PRSSA chapter. "Every workshop and session will offer something for everyone."
The Eleanor Wright Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America strives to enhance its members' knowledge of public relations, journalism and the media in order to provide the public relations and related fields, local and abroad, with the most qualified, well informed and honorable professionals.
