YPSILANTI - LeaderShape 2012, a six-day intensive program for EMU students, is now accepting applications. The program, which focuses on leading with integrity and forming a vision for change, is open to students who are in good academic standing and who will be returning for the fall semester.
The program will be held May 1-6 at the EMU Student Center. Organizers say, "The program involves living in a state of possibility, making a commitment to a vision, developing relationships to move the vision into action, and sustaining a high level of integrity."
The LeaderShape Institute, located in Champaign, IL, stages the program, which is now in its 20th year. Its leaders say it has made a difference in the lives of more than 20,000 young men and women from throughout the country.
There is a $100 fee to attend the LeaderShape program. The actual cost for the weeklong experience is closer to $600, but EMU Campus Life pays the difference for each student.
The online application is available at emich.edu/campuslife/leadership/leadershape. The application deadline is March 12, 2012 by 11:59 p.m.
