Area high school and transfer students are invited to attend Eastern Michigan University's Explore Eastern undergraduate open house on Saturday, March 31, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the EMU Student Center.
Explore Eastern program is a great way to learn about EMU and how an EMU education can launch your path to an exciting future.
In addition to finding out about EMU, students attending Explore Eastern will be able to apply for admission, free of charge - a $30 savings. High school seniors can get a priority admissions decision if they bring an official high school transcript in a sealed envelope, and official ACT or SAT scores. Transfer students applying also will have their application fee waived.
EMU faculty will be available to discuss specific majors and programs, and deans from each of the colleges will give a brief presentation about the programs available in their colleges.
Also, representatives from housing, dining, career services, financial aid and other areas will be available to speak and answer questions. Tours of campus, led by a current student, will be offered at 9 a.m., 11:25 a.m. and 12:55 p.m.
The open house event is for prospective students along with parents, siblings, grandparents, friends, spouses - anyone who's interested in finding about EMU.
Parking is free in the Student Center lot off Oakwood Drive.
