Detroit City Council President Charles Pugh will be speaking to Eastern Michigan University public relations and journalism students on Tuesday, April 17. Pugh will speak at 6 p.m. in room 300 of the Student Center, 900 Oakwood, Ypsilanti, Mich.
The Eleanor Wright Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) will host Pugh during their last general meeting of the year. Pugh will talk to students about ethics and the relationship between journalists and public relations professionals.
Pugh is a former television journalist from Fox 2 Detroit and was elected to the city council in 2009.
There is a $5 required donation to attend the event. All donations will go towards Eastern PRSSA. Space is limited and RSVPs are required by Friday, April 13 to Emily Vontom (evontom@emich.edu).
