Invest in your future by attending Eastern Michigan's Graduate Open House April 6

YPSILANTI: Education never ends, whether it's from reading, learning by experience or taking a class. That's why a graduate degree or certificate can be an important step for a promotion or beginning a second career. It's never too late to learn.
Eastern Michigan University can help prospective graduate students explore their educational options during its Graduate Open House, Saturday, April 6, 10 a.m. to noon, in the EMU Student Center, 900 Oakwood in Ypsilanti. An MBA session begins at 9 a.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Your application fee will be waived for the first graduate program you apply to and information about graduate assistantships and doctoral fellowships will also be available. Register to win three tuition credits. Three winners will each receive this award, valued at $1,500.
Still not sure if higher education is in your future? The open house will answer your questions about a variety of disciplines in areas such as science, business, the arts, education, technology, and health and human services.
During the open house, prospective students can:
- Learn more about a university with a 163-year-old history of excellence in education, an exciting community of world-renowned scholars and nearly 5,000 graduate students.
- Speak with a representative and receive general information about programs and contact information for faculty advisers.
- Learn about graduate assistantships and doctoral fellowships.
- Meet with faculty members.
Consider the advantages that Eastern Michigan is known for:
- A flexible doctoral program that offers full-time and part-time enrollment, evening classes and educational leadership classes on Sundays.
- Eastern offers more than $4 million for graduate assistant positions, enabling students to work and earn income while in school; and
- There is a 90-percent completion rate for our doctoral graduates. This is significantly higher than the 30-percent national rate.
