YPSILANTI – The Eastern Michigan University Foundation and Office for Alumni Relations today launched the #HighFiveChallenge to “keep the high five alive,” and make a special impact for students, academic programs and scholarships with a fun and easy donation program.

Members of the EMU community have taken to campus, delivering high-fives to their classmates, co-workers and friends. Check out this video.

In return for their random acts of “high fives,” University alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends are encouraged to “keep the high five alive” by making a gift of $5 or more to support any area on campus that is most meaningful to them.

Donors can make a gift online or take a look at the list of most popular funds at the University. Eastern has many scholarships, colleges and programs that need supporters’ help.

Why the #HighFiveChallenge?

Eastern Michigan wants alumni and friends to know that during campaigns such as the #HighFiveChallenge, it is not the size of the gift that matters; it is the message that even the most modest gifts make a difference.

When alumni and friends become donors to the University, it shows how a group of caring and informed supporters embrace the values, goals and aspirations of Eastern. Such a gift inspires others to become involved and give back as well.
