Eastern Michigan University to host alumni basketball reception Feb. 12

YPSILANTI ­­- Eastern Michigan University's Alumni Relations and Athletic Club will host an annual alumni basketball reception Feb. 12, 5-7 p.m., at EMU's Convocation Center's Stadium Club.

The event is open to all alumni and supporters of EMU.

This year's reception will feature appearances by men's basketball coach Jim Boone and MAC championship women's basketball coach Suzy Merchant.

"The basketball reception is a great family-oriented event," said Vicki Reaume, executive director of alumni relations. "We love to hear what our fellow graduates are up to and how they are representing the University."

The reception will be during an EMU basketball doubleheader. The men's basketball game against Central Michigan starts at 4 p.m. The women's game against Western Michigan begins at 7 p.m.

Tickets for the reception are $8 and can be purchased by calling EMU Alumni Relations, 734.487.0250. Tickets for the games are available at the EMU Ticket Office, 734.487.2282.
