EMU to host young alumni reception Feb. 18
YPSILANTI - Eastern Michigan University’s Office for Alumni Relations will host a young alumni reception Saturday, Feb. 18 at the Hard Rock Cafe, 45 Monroe Street, Detroit. Appetizers will be served from 12:30 – 2 p.m. The cost is $10 per person. Following the reception, guests are invited to ice skate at Campus Martius Park.
There are more than 27,000 young alumni in Michigan who have graduated from EMU during the past ten years. Receptions provide opportunities for EMU graduates to network and strengthen the connection with their alma mater in an informal and festive atmosphere.
Young alumni of EMU are automatically part of EMU’s Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) program. “The mission of GOLD is to work with the Alumni Association to foster strong bonds between young alumni and EMU through social, networking, educational and volunteer opportunities,” said Ken Ruppel, assistant director for constituent relations. “Our goal is to connect young alumni with one another and with EMU for life.” More information about GOLD is available online at www.emich.edu/alumni/gold.
