Musician/vocalist Judy Piazza to perform at EMU benefit concert for SOS

YPSILANTI —Musician/vocalist Judy Piazza will perform a benefit concert, Drawn to the Rhythm, featuring unique drums from around the word, native flutes, didgeridoos, an alternative dulcimer and vocals, Monday, March 26, 7:30 p.m. in Eastern Michigan University’s Sponberg Theatre.

Piazza, recognized here and abroad for her work with rhythm, voice and sound, weaves vocals with drum making for a melodic and lyrical evening.

Guests are invited to bring their own drum or rhythm instrument and join in the closing circle at the concert's finale.   Prior to the concert, Piazza will be conducting a master class for EMU music students.

There is no charge for the concert, however, donations will be accepted at the door. All proceeds from the concert will go to SOS Community Services, which provides services for homeless families in Washtenaw County. For information, call 734.487.4400.
