EMU Regents accept state fact finder's recommendations for faculty
YPSILANTI — Eastern Michigan University President John A. Fallon, III announced today that the university administration has thoroughly analyzed the fact finder’s recommendations for the negotiation process between EMU and the EMU Chapter of the American Association for University Professors (AAUP) and, in consultation with the Board of Regents, will accept the recommendations.
“We are pleased that the fact finder’s recommendations provide a roadmap to an agreement,” Fallon said. “The university is committed to finalizing an agreement and we are heartened by the balance of the recommendations.”
With this acceptance, EMU and the AAUP will return to the bargaining table on Friday, April 6, to agree on contract language.
