EMU to host state Senate subcommittee hearing on higher education appropriations May 20

YPSILANTI - Eastern Michigan University will host the state Senate hearing on higher education appropriations Friday, May 20, 10 a.m., in room 201, Welch Hall. The hearing is open to the public.

The schedule of presentations includes: EMU, 10-10:30 a.m.; Michigan Technological University, 10:30-11 a.m.; Wayne State University, 11-11:30 a.m.; Saginaw Valley State University, 11:30 a.m.-noon;  and Michigan State University, noon-12:30 p.m.

Senator Mike Goschka (R-32nd District) will chair the hearing.

The subcommittee makes recommendations concerning disposition of bills, resolutions and other related matter referred to them. Committees are appointed by the Speaker of the House or the Senate Majority Leader and are organized according to subject matter.
