EMU Department of Public Safety offers free Rape Aggression Defense course

YPSILANTI - Eastern Michigan University's Department of Public Safety will offer a free, four-session Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) course June 13-July 11.

The course will be conducted Monday evenings from 5:30-8:30 p.m., June 13, 20, 27 and July 11. Attendance at all four sessions is required .

"This is for women who want to learn basic skills to defend themselves," said Officer Candace Dorsey, who teaches part of the course.

Dorsey said the course helps participants make better dating decisions; better use vocal skills and build self-confidence and self-esteem.
