EMU Student Center to play host to Harry Potter Fest July 21

YPSILANTI - If you are a “muggle” who cannot be up past midnight for the release of the new Harry Potter book July 21, don’t worry.

The New Student Center at Eastern Michigan University is hosting Harry Potter Fest, Saturday, July 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to celebrate the release of  “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.” The event is free and family oriented.

For information, call 734.487.1157.

“Nate the Great,” a real magician, will perform throughout the afternoon and there will be a costume contest with prizes for kids 15 years old and younger.

The new Harry Potter book will be on sale at the bookstore in the new Student Center. Those who purchase the book will receive a gift bag, until supplies disappear!

Two previous Harry Potter movies, “The Prisoner of Azkaban and Goblet of Fire” will be shown on the giant screen in the auditorium and there also will be readings from the new book.

To reserve your copy of the historical final Harry Potter book, stop by the EMU Bookstore or call 734.483.2850. The Bookstore is located inside the EMU Student Center at 900 Oakwood St., Ypsilanti, on the main campus of Eastern Michigan University.
