EMU National Capital alumni to host two area alumni tailgates

YPSILANTI —The Eastern Michigan University Office for Alumni Relations will partner with its National Capital Alumni Chapter to host two events welcoming EMU President Susan Martin.

The first event will be an Alumni and Friends Social at Van Scoyoc Associates Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, 6-8 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person.  Van Scoyoc Associates is located at 101 Constitution Ave, NW, Suite 600 West, in Washington, D.C.

The second event will be a “Go Green” alumni tailgate prior to the EMU Eagles vs. Maryland Terrapins game on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008.  The tailgate will be two hours prior to kick-off in the Moxley Gardens at the University of Maryland Alumni Center in College Park, MD.  Tickets to the tailgate are $15 per person.

Friends and guests are welcome to attend both events.

“These events are a great way for alumni and friends to meet EMU’s new president, Susan Martin, and reconnect with each other,” said Vicki Reaume, executive director of alumni relations.  “We have a wonderful chapter in the greater Washington, D.C. area.”
