EMU’s Family Day offers military obstacle course, look at Humvee
YPSILANTI – Among the many fun events at Eastern Michigan’s upcoming Family Day, Saturday, Oct. 9, will be a military style obstacle course and a Humvee inspection. EMU’s military science department will sponsor these and other fun activities, noon –4 p.m., outside EMU’s Roosevelt Hall.
Participants can try their skills on an obstacle course that includes push-ups and sit-ups; lugging sand bags; throwing mock grenades; shooting nerf balls and tossing a football through a tire. An armored Humvee will also be on display. Younger children can enjoy sidewalk chalk drawing and camouflage face painting.
