EMU attorney responds to reports of Fallon lawsuit

YPSILANTI - Eastern Michigan University has been made aware of a report that a lawsuit has been filed against EMU by former president John Fallon. The University has not received any official notification of any legal action at this point.

“If this report is true, we are disappointed by the action,” said Ken McKanders, legal counsel for EMU. “Pursuant to the contract, the Board terminated Dr. Fallon by unanimous decision.”

John Fallon’s contract was terminated July 16, 2007, at a special Board of Regents meeting.
