EMU to host Collegiate Clash alumni tailgate, Nov. 11

YPSILANTI — Eastern Michigan University football has kept the Office for Alumni Relations very active this year with hosting numerous tailgates for alumni and friends. The office is heading to Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions, to host its fifth and final alumni tailgate of the season for the Collegiate Clash, Saturday, Nov. 11.

“Our tailgates are always a spirited way to bring alumni and friends of the University together and build excitement among fans before the game,” said Vicki Reaume, executive director of alumni relations.

EMU will host the United States Naval Academy for the third annual Collegiate Clash. The Eagles kick off against Navy at 1 p.m.

The tailgate begins at 11 a.m. at the stadium’s Rooftop Suite. Because space is limited, advanced tickets are required. Tailgate tickets are $7 per person, $5 for ages 6-12, and free for ages 5 and under. The cost includes food and give-away items; a cash bar will also be available. For additional information or to make a reservation, contact the Office for Alumni Relations at 734.487.0250 or alumni.relations@emich.edu.

Tickets for the football game are also required and available for $10 each exclusively through the EMU Ticket Office. Purchase by phone at 734.487.2282.

“Returning to Ford Field for the third Collegiate Clash is the perfect way for us to bring EMU fever to Detroit. Our fans love our prime tailgate location at the Rooftop Suite. The tailgate is a fun opportunity for EMU supporters to meet each other, have lunch, and get an ‘eagle’s eye’ view of the field before rooting Eastern on to victory,” added Reaume.
