YPSILANTI — Successful recording artists The All-American Rejects bring their tour to Eastern Michigan University Monday, Dec. 18, and EMU Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) will enjoy some VIP treatment at the show. The Office for Alumni Relations is hosting a private reception for young alumni from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Stadium Club at the EMU Convocation Center in Ypsilanti (799 N. Hewitt Rd.).

The reception happens before the headliners take the stage around 9 p.m. and will feature complimentary hors d’oeuvres, courtesy of Weir Manuel Realtors of southeast Michigan, and a cash bar. GOLD alumni attending the event will also receive a VIP parking permit. There is no cost to attend; however, advance registration and concert ticket are required.

Please R.S.V.P. to attend the reception by contacting the Office for Alumni Relations via e-mail at alumni.relations@emich.edu or call 734.487.0250. The GOLD program is open to all EMU graduates of the past ten years and serves the Alumni Association by catering to the needs of its younger constituents. Like the Alumni Association, there are no dues for membership.

Events are designed to further the program’s mission of fostering strong bonds between young alumni and EMU through social, networking, educational and volunteer opportunities.

“Fans at The All-American Rejects show are sure to include many GOLD members,” said Ken Ruppel, assistant director of constituent relations. “Our office is pleased to offer them this fun opportunity to connect with fellow EMU graduates and continue introducing greater variety into the types of events we offer to benefit our young alumni.”

For more information about the GOLD program, contact Ken Ruppel at 734.487.0250 or visit www.emich.edu/alumni/gold.
