TAKE TO THE SKIES AT EMU'S OBSERVATORY

DURING FAMILY DAY, OCT. 6

YPSILANTI - The mystery of space is waiting to be unraveled by children of all ages at Eastern Michigan University's annual Family Day, noon - 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 6.

If you want to get a chance to see the sun up close and personal or just want to glance at the solar system, then visit EMU's Sherzer Hall Observatory, located on the University's main campus. The observatory's 10-inch telescope will bring the galaxy closer to home while offering a rare look at the universe.

There are also more than 50 other activities offered for children and adults during Family Day, including music, live theatre, a creative memories workshop, chemistry magic and a Harry Potter and Hermione look-alike contest.

For more on Eastern Michigan's Family Day, call 734.487.4400 or visit the EMU web site at www.emich.edu.
