EMU, Mad Booking and Events Welcome
Jason Mraz, 311 and O.A.R. to Convocation Center

YPSILANTI – Eastern Michigan University, in conjunction with Mad Booking and Events, has lined up a series of concerts that are sure to rock the Eagle’s nest.

MTV’s Jason Mraz, chart-toppers 311 and indie-rock band O.A.R. will visit the Convocation Center in separate shows during October and November.

• Oct. 12: Jason Mraz, who has opened for Bob Dylan and Jewel, and a special guest will perform music from his CD “Waiting for My Rocket to Come,” including his hit single “Remedy.” Tickets are $16.50 for EMU students and $21.50 for the general public. EMU students can buy tickets Friday, Sept. 12 at 10 a.m. The public will be able to purchase tickets Friday, Sept. 19.

• Oct. 23: 311 and Alien Ant Farm visit the Convocation Center. Ten years after a fire almost ended their career, 311 has a new tour and is releasing their seventh album, “Evolver.” Tickets are $21.50 for EMU students and $26.50 for everyone else. Tickets for EMU students go on sale Friday, Sept. 19 at 10 a.m. The public will be able to purchase tickets Friday, Sept. 26

• Nov. 9 O.A.R. (Of a Revolution) and the Virginia Coalition will perform. O.A.R. has hits like “Mr. Moon,” Coalminer” and “Revisited” which showcase the rock/folk sounds with a touch of ska and reggae that have made them famous. Tickets are $16.50 for EMU students and $21.50 for the general public. EMU students can buy tickets Friday, Sept. 26 at 10 a.m. while the public will be able to purchase tickets for the show Friday, Oct. 3.
