Several EMU Anniversaries Make Homecoming Week Even More Special

YPSILANTI – The one-hundred year anniversary of Sherzer Hall, a 40th birthday for theatre arts and alumni celebrating their 50th reunion are just three special events planned for EMU’s 2003 Homecoming Week, Sept. 29-Oct. 4. The week-long celebration culminates in the EMU vs. Western Michigan University football game at Rynearson Stadium, Saturday, Oct. 4, 2 p.m.

“Homecoming is more than just a football game. It’s a wonderful week filled with exciting activities,” said Vicki Reaume, director of alumni relations.

100th Anniversary of Sherzer Hall
Open house sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences, Saturday, Oct. 3, 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Solar observing, building tours, roof deck reception. Special presentation at 11:30 a.m. Call 734.487.0277 for information.

Happy Birthday Communication and Theatre Arts
Celebrations include a 40th birthday brunch, Wall of Fame dedication honoring CTA emeritus faculty, and “Brown Bag Burlesque,” in honor of the late EMU professor Parker Zellers, Saturday, Oct. 4, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Quirk-Sponberg Theatres. Call 734.487.3198 for information.

50th Anniversary—Honoring the Class of 1953

Game Day is NCAA Take a Kid to A Game Day!
