Give Away
$500 Scholarship at EMUs Family Day, Oct. 11
YPSILANTI - Representatives from the Sallie Mae Corporation will present
two programs about preparing and paying for life after high school at Eastern
Michigan Universitys annual Family Day, Saturday, Oct. 11, noon-4 p.m.
at EMUs main campus in Ypsilanti. One lucky high school junior or senior
will win a $500 scholarship to EMU.
The sessions are as follows:
Paying for College - This presentation will provide high school juniors
and seniors information on federal and State of Michigan financial aid programs,
application processes, scholarship search tips and upcoming deadlines. At the
end of this session, there will be a drawing for a $500 Sallie Mae scholarship.
This event is free and open to the public, 12:30-1:30 p.m., McKenny Union.
Life Beyond High School - Middle school students and their parents can
explore the educational and career opportunities available to students after
high school. This event is free and open to the public, 2-2:45 p.m., McKenny
Union.
