Orchestra will present the ballet The Fantastic Toyshop Friday,

children. Call the EMU Box Office, 734.487.1221.
Its a charming ballet with a lot of audience appeal, said
Sherry Jerome, EMU assistant professor of dance. We hope to inspire students
to pursue an area of the performing arts.
The Fantastic Toyshop, a one-act ballet for the entire family,
features guest artist Luis Domingez as the male can-can doll.
Dominguez performed with the Dance Theater of Harlem in New York City under
the direction of Arthur Mitchell, and has toured extensively both nationally
and internationally. He currently teaches at the Performing Arts School of Metropolitan
Toledo.
The female can-can dancer will be played by Shannon McHale, a senior from Frasier,
MI.
The ballet was choreographed by Jerome, former professional ballerina with
the Saint Louis Ballet. Kevin Miller, professor of music, will conduct the orchestra,
playing music originally composed by Rossini.
The Fantastic Toyshop will be presented with all new
choreography and is appropriate for children of all ages.
