The Homecoming Community Service Project is out to help food gatherers maintain their stock of non-perishable food. Join in our campus wide effort to help provide hunger relief throughout the community. Food gatherers helps in the distribution and prevention of wasting community food resources.

Food Gatherers' Statistics:

5,469 different people receive assistance from Food Gatherers' network in and given week!

35% of the members of households served are children under 18 years old.

33% of households served by Food Gatherers choose between food and utilities.

28% choose between food and housing.

25% choose between food and medicine.
Team member prizes currently include: (t-shirts, free pizzas, free appetizers, $20 certificates to the EMU Bookstore and other gift certificates)

Six person teams can be a mix of students, staff, and faculty.

Team names will require approval after submission.

Win a mixed bag of local goodies including gift certificates to on/off campus locations (limited to the six registered members of a team).

Team leaders are responsible for collecting their own non-perishables and taking them to the collection point Friday, October 26th 12-3p at Big Bob's Lake House.

Collection of goods from non-team members is encouraged but only with the donator's permission. Collection through any other means is grounds for disqualification.

Bring your nonperishable goods in front of Rynearson Stadium near both tailgate locations. Food Gatherers will be set up for collection.

October 15th The Competition Begins!

The halls involved are Phelps/Sellers, Walton/Putnam, Best, Wise, Buell, Downing, Hoyt, Pittman, and The Village.
Office and door decorating contest!

Include donation items in your decorating theme.

Have fun while being in the running for an office lunch, possession of winners plaque, and a donation to their general fund!
Can for a Can!
Save your returnable cans and bottles for collection on October 25th. Refund money will be used to purchase goods for Food Gatherers.
