Pen Pals

Pen Pals is a year-long program that focuses on building relationships through the loveliest form, letters! This program is a collaborative effort between EMU and local elementary schools - such as Estabrook Elementary and Adams Elementary - that allows college students to exchange letters with elementary students. Letters are exchanged about once every month in Fall and Winter semesters. At the end of the year, pen pals get to meet one another at the Pen Pal Meet and Greet.

The time commitment is small and the reward is immeasurable. Write a letter on your own time, decorating it how you like or stop in the VISION office for some cool stationary and ideas! Earn LBC credit and volunteer hours and bring some smiles to local classrooms!

Become a Pen Pal.

College students who are interested in the program can fill out an application form as well as a profile sheet. The profile sheet is used to help coordinators match students based on their interests.
