Pond and Lake House

Date of Construction: Completed in October 1992 it was officially opened in January 1993.
Known Uses: Outdoor recreation center

The pond and Lake House were constructed as part of an 11-acre $1.5 million project to create an outdoor recreation area connected to the Olds-Robb center

The outdoor complex, of which the pond and lake house are a part, also includes volleyball and tennis courts, running trails, and a picnic area with horseshoe pits

The man-made pond is six feet deep and intended for year round use - during the warm months, users may rent rowboats and paddleboats and go swimming in the pond

In the winter the pond was designed to be used as an outdoor ice skating rink
