EMU logos are for official use ONLY. See below for details.

To download the current EMU logos, please choose from the menu in the left column.

Rules and Regulations:
Like all colleges and universities, Eastern Michigan University has specific regulations governing the use of its logos and wordmarks. These images are copyrighted, registered, trademarked and wholly owned by EMU, and may not be used on documents, the web, presentations, or any other application without express permission from the Office of Marketing and Communications. Express permission is granted for official EMU web sites, according to the standards on this web site.

Unofficial web sites (and publications), including faculty and student pages, student organization sites and professional organization sites, are not permitted to use the EMU logos or wordmarks. This provides protection and autonomy for the sponsoring organization or individual, and protection for the University. That means NO EMU LOGOS on your personal or organization web pages, publications, fliers, or anything else. No exceptions.

All EMU logos and wordmarks are intended for use "as is" on official web sites and publications, which means they must not be altered in any way, including changes in size, proportions, colors or characteristics; or special effects such as animations, shadows, etc. If you need a logo in a specific size or with specific characteristics, please contact the web team at webcomm@emich.edu.

If you believe you have a legitimate use for an EMU logo for a purpose not addressed on this page, please contact us.

EMU Logos for Licensed Merchandise

Organizations that have an official, signed, current contract allowing them to use the EMU logos on their merchandise may download the logos from this web page. We recommend you use the high-resolution logos found on the EPS format page.

If you require high-resolution Athletics logos, please contact us.

Other Logos

Official EMU web sites may not use logos/wordmarks, or variations of logos/wordmarks, that are not explicitly approved and provided by the Office of Marketing and Communications department for current, public use. Logos that have been developed for internal, departmental or limited use--even if they have been officially approved--are not permitted on web sites, as the web is a public forum (you may create a logo explanatory page on your site if you have an internal identifying mark).

Also, outdated logos, signatures and taglines may not be used. EMU's official tagline and branding campaign is "Education First."

Do not use the EMU seal on your web site or for any publications without the express consent of the Office of Marketing and Communications.

If you have any questions regarding the use of any EMU logos or wordmarks, contact the web team at webcomm@emich.edu.

Questions about this site should be referred to the director of Web Communications and New Media.
