Women in Philanthropy (WIP) at EMU "Strengthening and Supporting the EMU Community"

Women in Philanthropy at EMU cultivates faculty, staff, alumnae and friends as University supporters through:

  • Strengthening ties between women and EMU
  • Educating women about the power of personal and collective philanthropy
  • Increasing gifts by women to EMU
  • Distributing financial awards to members of the EMU community

There are several ways to join. New voting members are asked to make an initial gift of $1,000 per year for a minimum of three years to the Women in Philanthropy at EMU fund. Renewing voting members have the option to pledge $1,000 per year for one or more years. Non-voting members may pledge any amount for one or more years.

WIP members make a collective and powerful difference by joining their gifts to make annual awards to students, faculty, staff and alumni in the EMU community. Each (voting) member helps to determine which applicants receive funding.

Membership also includes invitations to annual Women in Philanthropy at EMU events and activities.

Peruse this website for more information about how to participate and experience the rewards of giving at EMU.
