Welcome to the Department of World Languages. As we move into the 21st century it is essential that we are able to communicate effectively in more than one language. Not only should we be able to speak, listen, read, and write other languages, but we should also have a good understanding of the cultures in which the languages are spoken.
The Department of World Languages offers a variety of courses in different languages and provides international experiences inside and outside the classroom. We are a part of the College of Arts and Sciences and are located in the Alexander Building on the east side of the EMU Campus. The Programs list below links to information on the respective language sections.
