FRENCH IMMERSION PROGRAM IN BREST, FRANCE

Study abroad this summer at Le Centre International des Langues (CIEL) in Brest, France. For six weeks, you'll study French language and culture in state-of-the-art facilities.

You'll spend 20 hours each week in the classroom. A placement test will determine your proficiency and class level. Additional assignments will be submitted to the Program Coordinator, also a member of the EMU French faculty.

The program includes lodging with a host family, a number of excursions (many of which are free) and enough free time to explore and discover the area and people on your own.

Six hours of EMU credit (FRNH 490) are granted for successful completion of the program. Returning students agree that the experience at Le CIEL marks a major turning point in the development of their proficiency in French language and culture.
