THREE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDENTS OF GERMAN
Since 2005 the German Program has been the beneficiary of 3 endowed scholarships: Dr. John R. Hubbard Memorial Endowed Scholarship approx. $500 Maria Schultz Rohde Memorial Endowed Scholarship approx. $500 Egbert R. and Florentine O. Isbell Endowed Scholarship approx. $1,200 These generous scholarships demonstrate that members of the EMU community and alumni feel that EMU's German Program is a worthwhile investment and that it truly makes a difference in the lives of students.
FIVE FULBRIGHT TEACHING ASSISTANTSHIP AWARDS TO GERMANY & AUSTRIA
Truly distinctive of the German Program is that since 2004, five Fulbright Teaching Assistantship Awards were granted to EMU students who were studying German, to teach English in a German-speaking country. This track-record exceeds that of any other department at this university. Furthermore, the successes of EMU German students in a strong pool of national competitors attests to the strengths of EMU students as well as the EMU German Program.
