Group Major in Language and International Trade German (LGIT GERN)
The major in language and international trade is designed to integrate the study of modern foreign languages and cultures with preparation in the field of international business. The major objective of the program is to provide students with the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to function in a foreign environment and in professional deal¬ings with business people and clients who speak foreign languages. Students completing this group major will have met the major and minor requirements for graduation. No outside minor is needed.
Qualified students in German may have the option of participating in a cooperative work exchange in an area of the world where German is spoken. Students may take examinations leading to foreign certification in business German.
