Residency Requirement

Residency (for the purposes of this section) means registering for, attending, and successfully completing the required courses.

Major or minor in language, business language, literature, or culture
Department residency requirements are that majors in a foreign language must complete 12 credit hours at EMU consisting of the appropriate courses at the 300- or 400- level for the major chosen. Minors in the foreign language must complete either 343 and 344, or 6 hours at the 400-level for which the student has the prerequisites.

Language and International Trade major:
Students must complete the following nine credit hours in French, German, Japanese, or Spanish at EMU: 361, 446 and 447.
