The J. Henry Owens Scholarship
Applicants must be declared French majors hold a minimum 2.5 GPA overall and a minimum 3.0 overall in French. have successfully completed two courses in French at the 3 rd-year level by the end of the previous fall semester. For Applications <Click Here>
The R. Clyde Ford Scholarship
Applicants must be declared majors in a Foreign Language hold Senior standing at the time of application. While the donor has not indicated a minimum GPA, we give clear preference to the eligible student with the highest overall average. The possibility exists of combining both of these awards for a total of $342 if a candidate emerges who meets the separate criteria for both awards (as stipulated above). The Paul Adam Kozma Scholarship
Applicants must be in their Junior or Senior year, be declared majors in EMU's Language and International Trade (L.I.T.) Program, and be able to demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to L.I.T. majors concentrating in French; however, if no .I.T/French candidate is found, the donor has authorized us to extend the award to L.I.T. majors with other language concentrations—German, Japanese, and Spanish. John Hubbard Study Abroad Scholarship
Applicants must document the need for the financial aid by submitting a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), available online, by March 1st. fill out a scholarship application form, available in 219 Alexander write a letter in the foreign language stating your reasons for applying for study abroad. Marie Schulz Rhode Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Applicants must plan to study abroad in an accredited program or language class in German, Austria, Switzerland or other German speaking courses. A German Major or Minor taken at least one German course at EMU achieved junior status studying German at EMU GPA of at least 3.0 in all German courses at EMU and a 2.5 GPA overall.
