Water is fun! Whether it is the ocean or a bathtub, children of all ages are naturally fascinated by and gravitate toward bodies of water.

Earth is a water planet and all forms of life are dependent on this precious liquid for survival. The study of it is truly an interdisciplinary subject that spans all areas of science and math and can be easily integrated across the entire school curriculum. Clean water and preserving water resources are issues at the forefront of public concern and policy-making decisions. As we critically look at our environment, we are now facing a freshwater imperative both nationally and globally, and projects that bridge generations and disciplines are needed to face this challenge.

The mission of the WET Science Project is to provide a model that can serve to educate and aid in gaining student and teacher appreciation and participation in protecting our water resources for future generations, as well as promote lifelong learning in science.
