For an action-packed week in June, local high school
students had an opportunity to experience four fields of
professional writing from theory to practice. EMU
professors shared their expertise in the technical aspects
of writing each morning. Foster care parents and
professionals in the field filled each afternoon with
stories of their unique role in the lives of foster
children. Write-Link students then created original writings
aimed at encouraging more adults to become foster parents.
The photos
on this page give you a small glimpse into the students'
real world writing experiences.
