Heather Neff of English, Director of the EMU Ronald McNair Scholars Program, has been awarded $219,999 by the U.S. Dept. of Education (DOE) for the first year of a five-year continuation of EMU's current, very successful McNair Program. View more information the McNair program award.
The Michigan Department of Community Health has awarded two faculty in the College of Health and Human Services a $63,103 award to help fund the continuation of the Alzheimer's Education and Research Program.
The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) has awarded EMU $50,000 under its Michigan Translational Research and Commercialization program. This award will be used to assist EMU develop a commercialization roadmap for its university-owned advanced materials technologies. This is a collaborative effort between EMU's Office of Research Development, and the Colleges of Technology and Business.
The American Library Association has awarded EMU a grant of $5,000 for Southeast Michigan as a Region of Study: An Annotated Resource Guide to Detroit in Context." The purpose of this project is to develop and provide a core bibliography of works/films on SE Michigan.
