Visit our training page for a schedule of in-person tutorials and other training options.

Please contact Sonia Chawla or April Gravitt with any questions.

Construction and Renovation Update

Operations and Facilities appreciate your understanding and patience as work to enhance our campus continues. Campus construction and renovation projects will impact the following areas in the days ahead.

Strong Hall

On August 10, installation of fencing began in the area around Strong Hall in order to prepare for construction/renovation.

The following changes will take place to West Circle Drive:

  • The lane nearest to Strong Hall will be fenced off, leaving one lane open for traffic.
  • A portion of the ADA parking spaces will be relocated from the north side to the south side of West Circle Dr. The spaces will remain in the new location until the Strong Hall renovation project is complete.

This article provides more information and a map of the area. The project is expected to be ongoing through 2017 & 2018. If you have any questions, please contact Project Manager Chris Longerbeam at 734.487.3584 or by email.

West and East Circle Drives

August 14 through August 25, work associated with Loop 1 of West Circle Drive may cause intermittent traffic disruptions. East Circle Drive reopened to vehicular and pedestrian traffic on August 11.

Heating Plant Shutdown

On Friday, August 18, 2017, at approximately 6 p.m., the steam service for main campus will be shut down in order to connect the new co-gen unit to the steam distribution system. Barring unforeseen issues, the steam service should be restored by 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2017.

Systems affected by the shutdown include campus domestic hot water, HVAC reheat systems, steam heated cooking equipment, the Club Pool and Jones Pool heaters and the air conditioning at Pierce, Pease, Boone, Ford, Welch, Starkweather and Sherzer.
