A signature event for the University takes place on March 31, 2017—the 37th Undergraduate Symposium. While this may seem like a long way off, an important deadline is approaching. Students who would like to present at the Symposium must complete the submission process by January 15. Faculty are asked to support outstanding student research work to be presented under their mentorship. Students should upload a prepared abstract in Word document format that has been approved by the faculty mentor.
Please visit the awards guidelines page for information on the awards process and timeline.
Nominations are due February 17 for the 2016–2017 Student Gold Medallion Awards. The award ceremony will be held on Tuesday, March 28 in the Student Center Ballroom; there will be a reception at 3pm and the awards program will begin at 4pm. Contact Kate Curely for more information.
The Division of Academic and Student Affairs will launch a process for recognizing university staff members who demonstrate commitment to EMU's Mission, Vision, and Core Values. Information will be posted online soon.
Just a reminder that students needing assistance from these offices should be referred to the Service EMU locations in McKenny Hall and the Student Center. The Pierce Hall Service Counters for these areas have been closed for some time. Thank you!
