The President's Commission on Diversity and Inclusion has issued its Preliminary Recommendations Report and is seeking input and feedback from the University and Community before finalizing the Recommendations. Please take a moment and provide your feedback via an online survey by February 18, 2018. Please join us in welcoming Roderick Wallace, Director of Upward Bound, to the Eastern community. Before joining Eastern, Roderick served as the Assistant Principal at River Rouge High School, and prior to that as Principal of Westwood Community Schools. We are excited to welcome him to the team and look forward to the leadership he will provide to our Upward Bound students.

Prior to their permanent appointments, Deborah had served as the Interim Department Head for Chemistry since August 2016, David had served as the Interim Department Head for Special Education since May 2017, and James had served as the Interim Department Head for Economics since May 2017. We also welcome and congratulate Dr. Susan Gregory who was recently named the Interim Academic Department Head for the School of Technology & Professional Services Management.
