Visit the Awards page for information on the awards, and how to apply. Intention to nominate must be submitted by 6 p.m. on Jan. 31; supporting materials must be submitted by the end of the day on Feb. 10.

Graduate Research Conference Application Deadlines

  • Application due date: February 8, 2017 at 11:59 p.m.
  • Faculty proposal approval due date: February 17, 2017
  • Response notification date: February 24, 2017
  • The GRC will be held on March 24, 2017 from 8 a.m.–5 p.m. in the EMU Student Center.

2017 Writing Across the Curriculum Spring Institute - Feb. 17 Deadline to Apply

The Writing Across the Curriculum Writing Fellows program is an established professional enrichment experience focused on helping faculty plan and offer courses infused with writing. It is for any interested faculty member or full- or part-time lecturer who wishes to incorporate writing into specific undergraduate or graduate courses or who will be teaching a Writing-Intensive (W) course in the major. 2017 Advanced Writing Across the Curriculum Retreat – Feb. 17 Deadline to Apply

This year, we will be offering an Advanced WAC Retreat in lieu of an Institute. This will be a two-day experience May 4-5, 2017, that will contain many of the same components of recent Advanced WAC Institutes. The Advanced WAC Retreat will help you develop more sophisticated and nuanced scaffolding for your assignments. We will also focus on the interplay of various communication modalities in our assignments and courses, including reading, critical listening, speaking, visualizing, and writing.
