Costs and Scholarships for International Students
International students attending EMU on an F-1 student visa are non-resident students for tuition purposes. Undergraduate students pursuing their bachelor's degree are eligible for in-state tuition under our TRUEMU Global Rate.
Scholarships
Eastern Michigan University highly values the contributions made by our international students to the greater campus community. To honor these contributions and make an education at EMU more affordable, a number of scholarship opportunities have been developed for international students. These scholarships are awarded automatically at the time of admission to all qualifying students based on their application materials and the grade point average (GPA) from their previous studies.
