International Admissions for Saudi Arabian Students Displaced from Canadian Universities
Because of a diplomatic spat between the Saudi Arabian government and Ottawa, over 8,000 Saudi students enrolled in Canadian colleges and universities are expected to leave the country. This is undoubtedly a confusing time for many, and as a campus community that embraces international scholars, Eastern Michigan University wants to help.
Any Saudi student that is currently enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution is welcome here. We will work closely with each student to expedite the admissions and visa processes so that they may start their studies on campus this fall. Additionally, as part of Eastern’s new Global Rate, we are excited to offer all undergraduate students – even international students – in-state tuition. As part of our commitment to these displaced students, we will extend this opportunity to any graduate Saudi student studying in Canada.
All Saudi students — undergraduate or graduate — who are enrolled in a Canadian university are welcome to apply for free to Eastern Michigan University through an expedited process and will pay in-state tuition.
