Haitham Fakhouri '08

In 2008 Haitham Fakhouri graduated from Eastern Michigan University with his Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Computer Science. Since graduation, he has gone on to create his own business, Bold Media, Inc. He said, “From our beginnings, we’ve been able to service multimillion dollar companies in four countries around the globe.”
Bold Media is an internet marketing firm that provides services in web design, domain name hosting, search engine marketing, search engine optimization and social media management. They also provide traditional marketing services including printing, graphic design and photography. One of his clients said, "Bold Media rocks! Haitham believes strongly in community involvement. He is involved with various non-profit organizations, his church and different ethnic groups and volunteers his time to assist in driving their missions. He said, “I enjoy philanthropy and believe that every person should give back to their community in some way.” Haitham is a board member with several organizations and said, “It has allowed me to build solid relationships with other professionals.”
Family comes first and is very important to Haitham. He is proud of his two children and values his relationship with his wife. He said, “They amaze me continuously with their growth and awareness, they give me a purpose for going to work and becoming involved within my communities.”
Another of Haitham’s passions is the EMU career program. He assists students with their resumes and responses to questions responses prior to them attending job fairs. He wants to stay involved with mentoring because he appreciates all of the help he received while attending Eastern. He said, “I hope to pay it forward to future students.”
When students ask for advice he offers, “Never be afraid of failure. Follow your passion and do not be afraid to stumble along the way.” He mentioned that many successful people he has met, have gotten there through failure.
Haitham has nothing but great things to say about Eastern Michigan University, He said, “is a campus of diversity and friendship.” He enjoyed how he could walk around campus and see many friendly faces. He feels that students in and out of class had a commitment to success and they assisted each other in getting there.
