EMU Love Story: Andrew and Emilie Hale

Do you have children? How many? None Yet!
How did you meet? We met at EMU during our final year on campus. We had several psychology classes together, and first became friends at the vending machine in Mark Jefferson!
Where was your first date? Pub 13 on St. Patrick's Day!
Any cute memories you have together at Eastern? We started out as friends walking to classes together. We had many lunches together at the student center and restaurants around Ypsilanti.
If married/engaged, how did they propose? If it was on campus, where? Andrew proposed to Emilie on a snowy New Year's Day in 2013, in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
What are the two of you doing now?
Andrew is currently in a PhD program for Clinical Psychology at Western Michigan University. Emilie has a Master's Degree from the University of Chicago, and works as a hospice Social Worker.
Any romantic advice you would give to students: Being friends before being a couple was really nice for us. We got to know each other and realized how much we liked each other!
Anything else you would like to share? We loved our time at Eastern, and we are so thankful for our experiences there, especially finding each other!
