McKenny Hall

McKenny Hall, previously called McKenny Union, was the first student union on the campus when it opened in 1931. This historic building has recently been renovated and offers a great historical feel. The spacious Ballroom is the gem of the building and can currently host a meeting up to 250 and a served dinner for 150 guests. McKenny is also home to the Alumni Tower which hosts from 20 to 50 guests and the Guild Hall hosting up to 100 guests.

This is a great venue for hosting Faculty and Staff meetings on campus. There are two meeting spaces on the second floor that can seat from 20 to 50 guests. McKenny Hall now has audio/visual equipment available and onsite staffing. For your groups convenience there is an Eagle Cafe offering fresh coffee, beverages, and a variety of meal and snack options for your guests. The cafe is located near a large comfortable lounge to use for break areas or just to sit and relax while catching up.

McKenny Gallery

The McKenny Gallery, located in historic McKenny Hall, features a rotating collection of historical photos and artifacts from Eastern Michigan University. McKenny Hall, previously called McKenny Union, was the first student union on campus. The location of the Gallery within this historic building will allow memorabilia to “come back home” to a building that was the hub of student life for 75 years.
